Getting Started
-
We offer psychotherapy and psychological evaluation services for children, adolescents, and adults. Our services include individual therapy, parent consultation and coaching, psychoeducational and diagnostic evaluations, autism assessments, and school-based psychological and student-support services through our school partnerships. The right service depends on your concerns and goals. We can help you identify a useful next step.
-
Call our office or complete the intake questionnaire on our website. It will help us learn who is seeking services, what kind of support you're looking for, and when you're available. If we're unable to answer your call, we'll get back to you within 1–2 business days. During our initial phone conversation, we'll discuss your needs, review clinician options and availability, and explain the next steps.
-
That's common. Contact us with a brief description of what's going on, and we can discuss whether therapy, parent consultation, an evaluation, or another resource may be an appropriate next step. If our practice is not the right fit, we can try to suggest other options.
-
Our clinicians work with children, adolescents, and adults, though each clinician's age range and areas of focus differ. During our initial phone call, we'll discuss your needs and goals, review our clinicians' areas of focus, and help determine who may be the best fit.
-
We offer in-person services at our Bucks County location and telehealth when clinically appropriate and permitted for the client's location. Telehealth eligibility depends on the clinician's authorization to practice where the client is physically located at the time of the appointment. Contact us to confirm availability for your location.
-
Consider seeking guidance when changes in mood, behavior, sleep, learning, or relationships persist, intensify, or interfere with your child's daily life. Depending on the concern, you might start with your child's pediatrician, school, or a mental-health clinician. If you're unsure, a consultation can help you sort through what you're seeing and decide on a next step.
Fees & Insurance
-
Our practice is out of network and does not bill insurance directly. If you have out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. Coverage and reimbursement are determined by your plan and are not guaranteed; contact your insurer to ask about your benefits and any requirements.
-
Psychotherapy sessions range from $195 to $230, depending on the clinician. Evaluation costs depend on the referral question and scope of the assessment; the clinician will explain the proposed plan and fee before testing begins.
-
The initial phone consultation is free. When you schedule an intake appointment, the fee is the clinician's standard psychotherapy session rate. We'll confirm the cost with you before scheduling.
Therapy
-
The first appointment is a chance for the clinician to learn what has brought you in, understand relevant history, and hear what you hope will change. You can ask questions and decide whether the clinician and approach feel like a good fit. For a child or teen, the clinician will explain how parent involvement and communication will work.
-
Many clients begin with weekly or biweekly appointments, but frequency is determined with the clinician based on goals, needs, and availability. The length of treatment varies. You and your clinician can review progress and revisit the plan over time.
-
We understand that parents want to know how their child is doing and how they can help. We value working in partnership with parents and caregivers while also giving children appropriate space to speak openly. At the beginning of treatment, your clinician will discuss confidentiality, its limits, and how parent communication will work. This depends on the child's age, the service, and applicable requirements. We welcome your questions and encourage you to talk with the clinician about any concerns.
-
Yes. Parent consultation can help caregivers understand a child's needs, respond to challenging behavior, support emotional or behavioral goals, and coordinate next steps. The focus and format depend on the family's concerns and the clinician's recommendations.
-
Our practice provides psychological services and does not prescribe medication. If medication is part of a person's care, we can discuss coordination with the family's pediatrician, psychiatrist, or other prescriber - with appropriate consent.
Evaluations & Testing
-
We provide psychoeducational and diagnostic evaluations, including assessment of learning, attention, developmental, and emotional or behavioral concerns. We also conduct autism assessments. The specific tests and procedures are selected based on the referral question rather than using the same test battery for everyone.
-
The process typically begins with a discussion of your concerns and relevant history. Depending on the question, it may include interviews, standardized testing, questionnaires, records review, and feedback about the findings and recommendations. The clinician will explain the proposed plan, timing, and fees before testing begins.
-
Yes. An assessment may include the ADOS-2 when appropriate, along with developmental history, interviews, questionnaires, records, and other measures. No single test is used on its own to determine a diagnosis.
-
The clinician will explain what feedback and written documentation are included in the proposed evaluation before the assessment begins. Recommendations are tailored to the referral question and may address home, school, work, treatment, or further evaluation needs, as relevant.
-
An evaluation can provide information about a student's learning, development, or mental-health needs and may offer recommendations for school support. Schools make their own decisions about eligibility and services, so an outside evaluation does not guarantee a particular accommodation, IEP, or school placement. We can explain the findings and recommendations and discuss how to share them with the school.
